Punters have been turning their attention to the antepost markets and Golden Lilac is now 11/10 for the Falmouth Stakes with Coral.
Golden Lilac is in from 6/4 to 11/10 in Friday’s Etihad Airways Falmouth Stakes while Dandy Boy has been backed to 12/1 (from 16’s) in the Darley July Cup.
“Andre Fabre has been very vocal about his confidence in Golden Lilac, while rival trainer John Gosden has also given his backing to the French raider, and punters have been quick to take note, meaning the filly could even start odds-on on Friday,” reckoned Coral’s David Stevens.
In other races, Media Hype has seen support in the John Smith’s Cup to be backed into 10/1 (from 16’s) while St Nicholas Abbey has become clear 2/1 fav in the King George VI & Queen Elizabeth Stakes with Coral.
“The John Smith’s Cup has played host to some monumental gambles in the past, and the move for Media Hype today suggests the 5-y-o could be this year’s steamer,” said Coral’s David Stevens.
“With Nathaniel’s participation in the King George yet to be confirmed, St Nicholas Abbey has regained his place at the head of the betting for a race that could have a huge influence on the Flat trainers’ title race,” added David Stevens.
