Live on Skysports 1: Thu 10.30: Francesco Molinari can build on his good form to win the Scottish Open this week at 20/1 with Ladbrokes.
A series of good performances extended to the Open de France last week as Francesco Molinari came home in 2nd and is 20/1 with Ladbrokes to win the Scottish Open at Castle Stuart. The Italian is worth an each way bet at least and will be keen to warm up for The Open.
Luke Donald heads the betting as Skybet’s 8/1 fav and he returns as defending champion to this course. Donald has not played since the US Open and this is his only warm up before Royal Lytham.
Padraig Harrington once again attracts attention at 16/1 (Ladbrokes) as he returns to action after a brief rest. Harrington’s form sees him head towards the world top 50 again and surely he is eyeing up another Major and the Scottish Open could be well suited for him.
Finally, Raphael Jacquelin of France comes into the event after a 3rd place in Paris last week and bet365’s 70/1 looks very tempting on him, especially after a 2nd place in this event in 2009 (admittedly at Loch Lomond).
