Coral are reporting a significant gamble on Wayne Rooney ahead of England’s final Euro 2012 group game against Ukraine.
Returning from suspension, the talismanic striker is 11/2 with Coral to break the deadlock in Donetsk and that price, along with several others the firm make available, is attracting thousands of bets.
“Wayne Rooney has told the public that he owes England a performance, and the public are backing him to do so with hard cash,” Coral spokesman Simon Clare told Betrescue.com, “whether it’s to score a hat-trick, or belt one in from outside the box, or to be named the man of the match, our customers just want to put their money on Rooney doing the business for England against Ukraine.”
