Rory McIlroy is 8/1 to miss his fourth consecutive cut the St Jude Classic next week according to Ladbrokes
The misery continues for McIlroy and with the US Open less than a fortnight away it’s just 6/1 he misses the cut as the 2011 title holder, and there’s an 8/1 chance he falls flat for the fourth consecutive tournament in a row should he play at the St Jude Classic next week.
Following his early exit from the Players Championship last month the firm quoted 6/4 he’d miss the cut at a remaining major this year, which has now been trimmed to 5/4. However despite this he’s still the joint favourite with Tiger Woods (10/1) to triumph in San Francisco.
Luke Donald (6/4) remains the world number one and the bookies favour him to occupy the top spot on the last day of the year over the Northern Irishman at 7/4.
Jessica Bridge of Ladbrokes told betrescue.com: “McIlroy has a struggle on his hands to up his game before the US Open. Punters have shunned him in recent weeks and that looks set to continue.”
