Live on BBC2: Sat 19.00: Northern Ireland face a tricky trip to Amsterdam to face the Dutch and Michael O’Neill’s men are huge outsiders at 16/1 with William Hill to cause an upset.
The hosts are just 1/6 at Betfred and although the visitors will be encouraged by the fact that Bulgaria stunned Bert van Marwijk’s team at the weekend, it’s difficult to see Northern Ireland avoiding defeat.
With many managers of teams involved in Euro 2012 set to use their final warm-up games to field a strong line-up, resembling the one they will start with in the tournament, the Dutch could be at something approaching full strength and subsequently a relatively comfortable triumph might be on the cards.
The hosts are worth considering then at 7/5 in Paddy Power handicaps, when starting two goals in arrears and Betfred post 13/2 against them beating O’Neill’s charges 3-0.
Arsenal’s Robin van Persie meanwhile, is bet365’s 11/4 favourite to break the deadlock but at a slightly chunkier 10/3, via the same firm, Klaas-Jan Huntelaar represents better value.
Recommended Bets:
Klaas-Jan Huntelaar to score first – 10/3 (bet365)
