2000 Guineas winner Camelot has been cut into 4-5 favourite for the Investec Derby by William Hill following his victory in the opening classic of the year.
Available at 9-4 ante-post pre-race the unbeaten Ballydoyle colt added the mile Classic to his Racing Post Trophy victory of last season, and remains firmly at the head of the betting ahead of 12-1 chance Akeed Mofeed.
Kate Miller, spokeswoman for William Hill, told betrescue.com: ‘’ The 2000 Guineas usually opens the true Derby debate as the trial season starts, but Camelot appears to have ended all arguments with his win. He’ll now go into the Derby as one of Aidan’s hottest hopes ever.’’
