Sat 15:00: Ladbrokes’ 4/6 chances Crawley can pip Southend to automatic promotion from League Two by beating Accrington Stanley.
Two teams, Swindon and Shrewsbury, are already up but the final automatic promotion place in League Two remains up-for-grabs and three sides are in the hunt.
BetVictor make Southend 2/7 to do their chances the power of good by defeating relegated Macclesfield, who are without a win of any kind in 2012. A victory for either Crawley or Torquay however, would deny the Shrimpers and of the pair it’s the Red Devils that look the most likely to ruin Southend’s day.
A significantly superior goal difference to the Gulls means that Town head to Accrington knowing that a victory will see them playing League One football next term and they’re 4/6 via Ladbrokes to get the better of a patchy Stanley side with little to play for.
For their part Torquay face a tricky trip to Hereford, who gave themselves a glimmer of hope in their survival battle last week by carding a stunning 3-0 triumph at Crawley. The Bulls can still stay up then depending on Barnet’s result and consequently, the visitors look a touch risky at 5/4 (BetVictor).
Also in League Two, Crewe need just a point to guarantee a play-off place but they can take all three against Aldershot. The Railwaymen are unbeaten in 15 and put themselves in pole position for seventh spot with a morale-boosting late leveller at Torquay last time out.
Having put in all that hard work however, they won’t want to leave anything to chance so expect Coral’s 8/11 favourites to go all out for the win rather than try and settle for a draw.
