Merigo, winner in 2010, is 7/1 2nd fav at Ayr while Portrait King comes in next in the betting at 8/1. Ikorodu Road and Knockara Beau are both 10/1 with Coral.
“Harry The Viking, co-owned by Sir Alex Ferguson, has been favourite for the race since we opened betting, although his position at the head of the betting has come under threat in recent days from race specialist, Merigo, and Portrait King, who should also relish the marathon trip,” said Coral’s David Stevens.
