Riverside Theatre is the 3/1 favourite with the sponsors for the Betfred Bowl after 16 horses were entered in the race at the six-day stage.
The Ryanair Chase winner heads the market ahead of 4/1 shot Burton Port who is expected to line up at Aintree on Thursday rather than take up an engagement in the John Smith’s Grand National two days later.
“Nicky Henderson looks set to have a strong hand in Thursday’s Betfred Bowl with Riverside Theatre and Burton Port currently heading the market but Medermit could give them both something to think about with the step up in trip almost certain to suit,” Betfred spokesman George Primarolo told betrescue.com
Medermit, who finished third behind Riverside Theatre in the Ryanair Chase, is the 6/1 third-favourite with last year’s BetfredBowl winner Nacarat an 8/1 shot.
Hunt Ball steps up in class having taken the Pulteney Land Investments Novices’ Handicap Chase at the Cheltenham Festival and has been priced up at 10/1 to complete his fairytale rise up the chasing ladder.
