Live on Skysports 1: Mon 20.00: BetVictor price Chelsea at 23/20 to win their Premier League derby clash at Fulham but it could be close.
Chelsea haven’t really convinced on the road all season but since Roberto Di Matteo took hold of the managerial reigns the Blues have won three out of their four away matches in all competitions, only going down once, to title-chasing Manchester City. Subsequently, the top four hopefuls are strongly fancied by bookmakers to emerge triumphant in the derby clash at West London rivals Fulham.
Indeed, the Blues are even money in places but the more encouraging news for punters is that BetVictor rate them at an attractive 23/20 and that’s worth considering in light of Chelsea’s improvement, despite the Cottagers’ decent home record.
Fulham haven’t beaten their neighbours since 2006, which doesn’t bode well, but they are strong enough in front of their own supporters to suggest they can keep it tight so Boylesports’ 14/5 for the visitors to shade it by one isn’t without appeal while bet365 make Di Matteo’s troops 15/2 to register a 2-1 victory.
Elsewhere, Sportingbet make Newcastle 8/13 to dent Bolton’s survival hopes at St James’ Park, Tottenham are just 4/11 via Paddy Power to send Norwich home from White Hart Lane empty-handed and Aston Villa are slender favourites at 13/10 courtesy of BetVictor to pick up three points at home for just the fifth time this season as they tackle Stoke, who don’t travel well.
Skybet meanwhile, expect another home triumph at Goodison Park, where Everton – their 10/11 favourites – tackle Sunderland. The Toffees got the better of the Black Cats in the FA Cup recently but Martin O’Neill’s men could gain revenge here given that the home side might rest players ahead of next Saturday’s Wembley semi-final showdown with Liverpool. Sunderland are overpriced then at 7/2 (Paddy Power) and they look great value at 2/1 in William Hill’s ‘Draw No Bet’ market.
Recommended Bets:
Chelsea to beat Fulham 2-1 – 15/2 (bet365)
Sunderland to beat Everton ‘Draw No Bet’ – 2/1 (William Hill)
Treble on Newcastle, Tottenham and Aston Villa – 4/1 (BetVictor)
