Sat 15.00: Tranmere, at 5/6 with Coral, should keep up their recent improvement in League One by beating hapless Exeter at Prenton Park.
A dreadful run of form has threatened to drag Tranmere into a relegation dogfight in League One but since appointing Ronnie Moore as manager Rovers have won three out of four to put some breathing space between themselves and the bottom four and at 5/6 via Coral they should continue their resurgence at the expense of struggling Exeter.
The Grecians are just one place off the foot of the table having lost five of their last six matches and without even a goal to show for their efforts in their last three assignments on the road, bet365’s 4/1 outsiders look up against it at Prenton Park.
It’s been a disappointing campaign so far for Preston, who had expected, when the season began, to be in the promotion hunt. However, Graham Westley’s mid-table troops have shored things up of late, picking up an away win at Exeter and a respectable point at play-off chasing Carlisle in their last two and their improvement can see them defeat Bury at Deepdale.
The visitors haven’t won in a dozen attempts and have shipped plenty of goals in that dismal sequence, so the hosts’ shot-shy attack should be able to break through and indeed aided by home advantage North End look far too big at 11/10 courtesy of Skybet.
Preston meanwhile, double up with Tranmere at a tasty 14/5 (Coral).
