Sat 15.00: In the only SPL match, Inverness are 5/4 (Ladbrokes) to beat Kilmarnock and a 2-1 victory comes in at 8/1.
With a quartet of Cup matches scheduled this weekend, it’s left to Inverness and Kilmarnock to fly the SPL flag when the pair meet at the Caledonian Stadium where Thistle kick off as Ladbrokes’ 5/4 favourites.
Inverness scored a remarkable 6-3 victory over Killie at Rugby Park back in November after being a goal behind, but this was a rare display of goalscoring prowess by either side. In the pair’s previous nine meetings, only twice did one of them score more than two goals. It follows that Blue Square’s 4/5 for tomorrow’s duel to yield fewer than 2.5 goals has been well supported.
Yet the duo do tend to score against each other and Stan James’s 4/6 for both to find the net is worthy of further consideration, as is the 12/5 posted by Partybets for it to end all square. Kilmarnock are also priced at 12/5 (Boylesports) to win, but Betfred’s 8/1 for Inverness to win 2-1 looks particularly good value.
