Betfred have installed Ted Spread as the 4/1 favourite at the head of the Paddy Power Imperial Cup market at Sandown.
Several pundits have flagged up Ted Spread as a handicapper to follow at the upcoming Cheltenham Festival and he holds entries in the County Hurdle as well as the Martin Pipe Conditional Jockeys’ Handicap Hurdle and Supreme Novices’.
Master Of Arts will put up decent competition though as 7/1 2nd fav. Master Of Arts also holds an entry in the County Hurdle on the final day of the Cheltenham Festival and he has been backed into 14/1 (from 20/1).
“It’s no surprise to see Ted Spread at the head of the market for the Imperial Cup but it’s very interesting that David Pipe has only made one entry for the race in the shape of Master Of Arts, who hasn’t been seen over timber since finishing down the field in the 2009 Triumph Hurdle,” said Betfred spokesman George Primarolo.
