Live on Skysports 2 & 4: Tue 19.45: Barcelona are 4/9 (Ladbrokes) to card a Champions Lge win at Bayer Leverkusen but it won’t be easy.
Domestically, Barcelona’s away form hasn’t quite been up to their usual high standards of late, the Catalans giants having lost at Osasuna on Saturday, after consecutive draws on their travels, against Valencia and Villareal.
In Europe however, Pep Guardiola’s troops have been strong on their travels, winning all three of their Champions League group matches and although their last assignment was a couple of months ago they are just 4/9 via Ladbrokes to secure a first leg lead as they visit Bayer Leverkusen.
Indeed, despite their weekend, the defending champions should have too much for the Bundesliga outfit but the hosts can nevertheless make life tough for Barca, who are 11/4 with Skybet to shade it by a one-goal margin.
Not defending too convincingly at present, the visitors look set to concede and William Hill quote 19/20 for both teams to find the net. Alternatively, BetVictor offer a 2-1 Barcelona triumph at 8/1.
In the evening’s other fixture, Lyon are also 4/9 favourites, this time courtesy of Stan James as they entertain APOEL Nicosia and the French side should have the edge against the plucky Cypriots, who drew all of their group matches away from home.
