Back a team to beat higher division opposition in the FA Cup or Scottish Cup with Ladbrokes this weekend and if it’s a draw, your bet will stand.
Ladbrokes are giving people the chance to cheer on the underdog this weekend.
The bookies are offering underdog backers the chance to let their original bet stand in the replay if they back a team from a lower division and they manage to get a draw in their FA Cup third round tie.
Man City are the 11/2 Cup favourites ahead of the big derby tie on Sunday while Liverpool have had plenty of support and stand at 8/1 as they face Oldham.
Ladbrokes have also priced up the number of top-flight teams to get knocked out in the 3rd Round – exactly 6 is 5/2 while it’s 8/11 that no non-league sides make the 4th round.
Alex Donohue of Ladbrokes said: “This is the biggest weekend of the year for the romantics who back upsets. If their team force the replay they will be get a second crack of the whip with many prices looking attractive should a big side travel to an unfashionable ground.”
He added: “Liverpool are currently our biggest loser by quite some way. Punters clearly feel Dalglish is on the brink of delivering some long-awaited silverware.”
