The eventual X Factor winner is 7/4 (William Hill) to have this year’s Christmas no. 1, the biggest ever price for a winner of the show.
X Factor is the second favourite behind the Military Wives Choir at 8/15. It is the biggest price Hills have offered for the X Factor since the programme started in 2004. “Christmas week starts on the 19th so the first week of downloads and half a week of hard copies will NOT count towards the Christmas one so they could struggle to beat the might of the military choir,” said Hill’s spokesman Rupert Adams.
Amy Winehouse is 6/5 to hold on for the conveted Christmas number one spot in the album charts while Michael Buble’s ‘Christmas’ is the 4/6 favourite to beat her. “It would be a fitting tribute if Amy has the Christmas Number One,” said Hill’s spokesman Rupert Adams.
