Live on Skysports 2: Sat 17.20: West Ham are strong favourites at 4/9 with Stan James to pick up a Championship win against Derby.
After enjoying a great start to the season Derby have slipped down the table, a run of just one win in nine attempts taking the Rams away from the play-off places. Sadly for Nigel Clough’s injury-hit side, things look set to get worse on Saturday as they face promotion-chasing West Ham in front of the television cameras at Upton Park.
The Hammers, Stan James’ 4/9 favourites, have taken 13 points from their last five matches to move into second place and with three clean sheets to their name in five outings, Sam Allardyce’s men look decent value at 5/4 via Paddy Power to prevail ‘to nil’ against a Derby team that has failed to score three times in five games.
Taking that further, Ladbrokes post 6/1 against a 2-0 West Ham triumph and it’s 6/5 at Skybet for the Hammers to emerge victorious in the handicaps, where they kick-off a goal in arrears.
Fifth-placed Leeds should also manage a home win as Barnsley take the short trip up the M1 to Elland Road. Bet365’s 8/11 favourites, came back from a goal down to pick up maximum points at Burnley, their second consecutive away success and Simon Grayson’s troops are hard to oppose back on their own patch against the inconsistent Tykes.
Nick Barmby made a winning start as Hull’s caretaker-manager and he can make it two from two as the Tigers tackle Burnley, Boylesports pricing the hosts at 10/11 ahead of the KC Stadium contest.
