Els has been in reasonable form in the last few weeks, the highlight a T4 at the Frys.com Open, and should deifnitely challenge in this field.
Retief Goosen is the big challenger at 14/1 (Ladbrokes) as he looks to regain his 2006 title but he will need to up his game to fight off some in-form players here.
Two of those with some current form and local knowledge are Jaco van Zyl and Jbe Kruger who are 20/1 and 25/1 with bet365 respectively. With a T9 last week, Kruger should be looking to iron out the problems of his latter rounds and could really challenge.
Felipe Aguilar has registered two T3’s in the last 6 weeks and has failed to hit 4 rounds in the other 4 of those weeks. If he turns up properly, he could be worth following each-way at 33/1 (Boylesports)
