Jim Mallinder has been made Coral’s 6/4 fav to be appointed England manager after Martin Johnson resigned on Wednesday.
Nick Mallet is the 7-2 second favourite, ahead of the World Cup-winning Kiwi, Graham Henry, at 12-1.
“There are no shortage of potential replacements for Martin Johnson, but two stand out in our book, the Northampton boss Mallinder and the well-travelled Mallet, although with the RFU currently suffering its own internal issues, this market could be open for some time,” reckoned Coral’s David Stevens.
