Fleetwood and Southport are two non-league teams in with a chance of causing FA Cup shocks and the pair are both 13/8 with William Hill.
The FA Cup first round is an annual minefield for punters, with league teams often under-performing against their plucky non-league counterparts but there’s some value in trying to pin down the ‘upsets’ and a couple of potential shocks leap from the page this time around.
Firstly Blue Square Premier high-flyers Fleetwood go into their tie against Wycombe in buoyant mood having won four league games in a row to take a share of the lead in the division. By contrast, the Chairboys are just one place off the foot of League One and head to the Highbury Stadium on the back of a dismal run of three losses in four.
The visitors look to be there for the taking then and subsequently Micky Mellon’s men are decent value at 13/8 via William Hill.
Also available at odds of 13/8, this time with Boylesports, are Southport. The Sandgrounders have risen to fifth in Blue Square Premier on the back of a tremendous run of seven wins and two draws in nine outings across all competitions and they will believe they have the beating of beleaguered Barnet, currently in the League Two relegation zone.
Elsewhere, Brentford (1/3, Coral) should have too much for Basingstoke at Griffin Park, Macclesfield are 8/15 via Stan James to get the better of Isthmian League strugglers East Thurrock and Bristol Rovers are also 8/15, this time with Blue Square, as they host Corby Town. Coral meanwhile, price a treble on that trio at a tasty 21/10.
Recommended Bets:

Brentford, Macclesfield and Bristol City to win – 21/10 (Coral)
