Paul Ferguson has two selections for us on Sunday; Lantry Lady in the 12.25 and Inthepocket 1.25 both at Naas. | Free Bets |
Hopefully Naas gets to go-ahead on Sunday as the County Kidlare track stages a fantastic card, starting with the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Mares Beginners Chase. Willie Mullins and Henry de Bromhead saddle five of the eight runners between them, with the latter responsible for Majestic Force and Lantry Lady (12:25) who won twice at Gowran Park before finishing fourth in the Mares’ Hurdle at Cheltenham. The daughter of Saint des Saints looks to have the size and scope for fences and she will relish the likely testing ground. She is preferred to her stable-mate, who ran well on chase debut at Cork recently.
It could be a huge day for de Bromhead, with Inthepocket (1:25) fancied to land the Grade 2 Racing Post Novice Chase, where he looks to have Firefox and Ile Atlantique to beat in a cracking contest. That pairing are coming back in trip and are will likely ensure that this is run at a strong gallop, which will suit the selection who looked a fine chasing prospect when winning by 15 lengths at Wexford on his first start in almost a year. Farren Glory has since advertised that form and the eight-year-old can enhance his Arkle claims here under Rachael Blackmore.
Sunday’s selection:
12:25 Naas – Lantry Lady; 5/2 Bet365
1:25 Naas – Inthepocket; 10/11 Boylesports
