Haydock stages a decent card on Wednesday, where chase debutant BENEFICIALLY YOURS (1:10) should cope with conditions. He won a brace of heavy ground novice hurdles last season and although this is a strong race – with White Rhino, President Scottie and Heros de Romay all potentially useful chasers – the six-year-old gets the vote for Donald McCain and Brian Hughes.
The introductory hurdle is also a good race, with five previous winners locking horns. There should be plenty of pace on which will help CREST OF FORTUNE (2:15) who drops in distance having impressed at Ffos Las. He won a bumper on heavy ground so should also cope with the testing conditions.
