Twice at winner at the track as a novice hurdler, Peaky Boy (12:40) made a winning start over fences at Cheltenham in November and should relish the step up to 3m on Saturday. Nicky Henderson’s six-year-old went up 7lbs for that latest success, but remains completely unexposed and open to any amount of improvement over this longer trip. He could be a Graded class novice before long, so is fancied to take the next step up the ladder in his stride.
Over at Fairyhouse, Triumph Hurdle winner Majborough (11:30) is fancied to make a winning start over fences for Willie Mullins and Mark Walsh. The imposing four-year-old has the build of a chaser and can enter the Arkle picture in a big way, by winning what looks to be a competitive beginners chase.
