Paul Ferguson has two selections for us on Tuesday; Monty Bodkin in the 1.03 and Dedicated Hero 1.33 both at Carlisle. | Free Bets |
Hopefully Carlisle passes an early morning inspection, as the Cumbrian venue once again serves up a decent card. Division one of the maiden hurdle looks the weaker and Monty Bodkin (1:03) is fancied to make a winning start for Jonjo & A J O’Neill, who have sent a couple of nice novices up to Carlisle in recent weeks. The five-year-old ran really well on debut at Ascot this time last year (runner-up to the promising Celtic Dino) and bounced back from a disappointing run at Aintree to score at Doncaster on his final start for Ben Pauling.
Kevin’s Pride looked promising when winning a bumper for John McConnell and has since been bought by Simon Munir and Isaac Souede, but preference in division two is for Dedicated Hero (1:33) who shaped with promise here 13 months ago and went on to win a brace of Kelso bumpers. The five-year-old looks to be a nice prospect for Sandy Thomson and seems versatile in terms of ground.
Tuesday’s selections:
1:03 Carlisle – Monty Bodkin; 7/4 Boylesports
1:33 Carlisle – Dedicated Hero; 5/4 Bet365
