Live on TNT Sports 1: Saturday 12:30. Newcastle Utd v Arsenal. Newcastle and Arsenal kick off the Premier League weekend and it’s the Gunners who are odds-on favourites to land a victory. They are a best price even money (William Hill) for a win, although the Magpies did draw at home to Manchester City earlier in the season. Perhaps a better value bet is that the clash ends all square, with bet365 offering 29/10 that this happens.
Eddie Howe’s side have made a stumbling start, although bet365 have 27/10 that they potentially turn their season around with a win. You can get 4/6 with Betfred that we see BTTS Yes happen.
Saturday 15:00.
Southampton’s winless start to the season continues although they’ll be encouraged by a slender 1-0 defeat at Manchester City. The Saints are 29/20 with Ladbrokes to achieve lift-off by beating an Everton side who were fortunate to scramble a point against Fulham. However, the Toffees have avoided defeat in over half their games and they’re on offer at 8/5 with BoyleSports to win here.
Ipswich Town and Leicester City were both automatically promoted last season but have work on their hands to stay afloat. Kieran McKenna’s side are 23/20 with Betfred to bounce back from that entertaining 4-3 defeat at Brentford, with the Foxes 2/1 with BoyleSports to win at Portman Road and they did recently come from behind to land three points at Southampton.
Manchester City have hit the top after a handful of games and they travel to the Bournemouth Vitality Stadium as odds-on favourites for another maximum haul. Coral chalk up 11/20 that Pep Guardiola’s side are able to win against opponents who did beat Arsenal at home recently, with William Hill making them a 9/2 shot. The BTTS Yes option looks easy to back at 4/6 with bet365.
Nottingham Forest are going great guns under Nuno Espirito Santo, with the Midlands side warm favourites to continue their strong form with a win against West Ham. Ladbrokes have 23/20 about a home victory against an unconvincing Hammers side, although the London team did beat Manchester United last weekend and they are 12/5 with Betfred to claim another three points here.
Liverpool landed a 2-2 draw at Arsenal and now return to Anfield for a winnable home clash against Brighton. The Reds are 2/5 with Coral to land a victory against a Seagulls side who have actually been solid on the road with two wins and a draw. The visitors are 13/2 with Ladbrokes to stun the home crowd with a win, although the best bet could be Liverpool to win and BTTS Yes at 8/5 with bet365.
Live on Sky Sports: Saturday 17:30. Wolves v Crystal Palace. Wolves now have a fixture run where they can pick up points, although they’re as big as 7/4 with William Hill to land a victory over Crystal Palace. Gary O’Neil’s side did nearly hold Manchester City to a draw in their previous home game, although the Eagles themselves beat Tottenham Hotspur last weekend and they are 6/4 with Ladbrokes to get the job done here.
A draw wouldn’t particularly please either side, although Coral have 5/2 that the clash ends all square. We might see something along the lines of a 1-1 draw which is trading at 6/1 with bet365.
Live on Sky Sports: Sunday 14:00. Tottenham Hotspur v Aston Villa. Tottenham Hotspur are eighth in the table after a modest return of thirteen points from eight games. Coral have 10/11 that they overcome Aston Villa although some will want to oppose the home side considering that the Villans are once again top four candidates and have three wins and a draw on the road.
Unai Emery’s side are a 14/5 chance with BoyleSports to come away from north London with a maximum haul, with Betfred chalking up 3/1 that the game ends all square. Over 3.5 Goals is trading at evens with Bet365 and this could be an entertaining affair.
Live on Sky Sports: Sunday 16:30. Man Utd v Chelsea. Manchester United parted company with Erik ten Hag on Monday and they now clash with Chelsea as the slight outsiders to win. The Red Devils are 8/5 with William Hill to bounce back from last weekend’s loss at West Ham with a victory, although the Blues look a far better option and they could be popular at 6/4 with BoyleSports.
The draw is an 11/4 chance with Bet365, although Chelsea are in great form at the moment and we are looking at the prospect of backing the London side to lead at half-time and full-time. This betting option can be wagered at 3/1 with Betfred.
Live on Sky Sports: Monday 20:00. Fulham v Brentford. Fulham and Brentford meet in a Monday night London derby, with the Cottagers available at 21/20 to claim three points and that looks a great bet. Marco Silva’s side outplayed Everton last weekend before drawing 1-1, although Raul Jimenez has been in strong form and the Mexican is 6/1 with Betfred to score the opening goal.
As for the Bees, they’re a 5/2 chance with Coral to follow up that exciting 4-3 victory against Ipswich with another maximum haul here. You can get 8/13 with William Hill that both teams find the net, while a Fulham win and BTTS Yes is 13/5 with bet365.
