Ascot stages a really competitive 0-120 handicap hurdle on Friday, in which I’m siding with WE’RE RED AND BLUE (2:30). After a promising start over hurdles at Uttoxeter, he got off the mark at Carlisle and an opening mark of 120 seems fair.
And, in the concluding Listed bumper I am hoping that we can get an each-way price about BLUES SINGER (3:40) who won’t mind the relatively decent ground and the bigger field will help him take a lead for longer. He was beaten under a penalty on reappearance but travelled well and should go well once again. This looks a strong race and there are plenty of likely dangers, of which Doctor Blue impressed me on debut at Taunton.
