There are some exciting horses returning to action on Wednesday including PRIMOZ (2:30) who is fancied to beat experienced rivals on chase debut. The form of the Lucinda Russell yard is a slight concern (yet to really get going despite having the odd winner) but he was full of promise last term and is open to any amount of improvement.
Jagwar is another chasing debutant to note on the card whilst Jurancon is one I’m looking forward to seeing down at Worcester. I thought he may have started off over a little further however and he faces smart bumper performer The Kemble Brewery who returns from injury. He looked speedy so it’s a watching brief.
Despite the fears about yard form, I can’t resist a Russell double as BIG JOHN WAYNE (3:38) looked set to win when falling on his final start last term. He has form on better ground and should relish the longer trip. Fences likely await but he is a winner in waiting over hurdles beforehand.
