A non-runner at Listowel recently, Mossy Fen Park (4:50) is fancied to win the beginners chase at Gowran Park on Saturday. A winner of a maiden hurdle at Down Royal last Christmas, he has been very lightly-raced so far under Rules, but ran well at Fairyhouse and judged on his impressive Point-to-Point success (at the second attempt) he looks as though he will come into his own as a staying chaser. He will likely need 3m before the season is out but this intermediate trip seems a good starting point and Henry de Bromhead has saddled a couple of winners in the past week or so, having had a quiet spell before that.
