Paul Ferguson has one selection for us on Thursday; Dady Long Legs in the 6.15 at Tipperary. | Free Bets |
Hugely impressive in handicap company at the Punchestown Festival, it will be disappointing if Daddy Long Legs (6:15) can’t land the Grade 3 Grimes Hurdle at Tipperary on Thursday. Willie Mullins’ five-year-old is unbeaten on decent ground as a hurdler and finished behind three Cheltenham Festival winners – Ballyburn, Slade Steel and Absurde – when sixth in a Grade 1 at the Dublin Racing Festival. He won easily off a mark of 135 last time and if the handicapper is right (put him up 15lbs to 150) he should be very difficult to beat on these terms. He will be a short price but is hard to oppose.
Thursday’s selection:
6:15 Tipperary – Daddy Long Legs; 4/7 Betfred
