Paul Ferguson has two selections for us on Wednesday; Glenduff in the 2.20 and Skytastic 5.05 both at Doncaster. Compare odds and bet.
Never a factor on his chasing debut at Musselburgh Glenduff (2:20) shaped as though he needed the run on his first start in 11 months, and can leave that run behind at Doncaster on Tuesday.
Dropping in grade and the better ground are two positives, and he ran well at this track on his final start over hurdles last March. He jumped well in the main until tiring inside the final half-mile last time, and he remains of interest from a mark of 125.
Later on the card Skytastic (5:05) is fancied to win the bumper for Sam Thomas and Dai Walters, the pair who teamed up to land the Listed bumper at Newbury on Sunday.
Off the track since himself winning at Newbury on debut, that form reads really well now, and he showed plenty of pace that day, to win a slowly-run race on decent ground. The 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th (the latter at Uttoxeter on Sunday) have all won races since, and he looks an above-average individual, who should be up to winning under a penalty.
Wednesday’s selections:
2:20 Doncaster – Glenduff; 6/1 Paddy Power
5:05 Doncaster – Skytastic; 15/8 Bet365
