Paul Ferguson has one selection for us on Wednesday; Marada in the Hereford 13.15. Compare odds and bet.
The opening contest at Fontwell is probably the most interesting race of the day – for me, anyway – with both Lord Accord and Norley of interest moving forward. I will be keen to see how the pair go in that first division of the extended 2m3f maiden hurdle.
In terms of the day’s selection, the opening mares’ novices’ hurdle from Hereford doesn’t look overly competitive and Marada (1:15) is taken to go one place better than when narrowly second at Warwick on debut. Dan Skelton’s five-year-old travelled well on reappearance and made stylish headway to just about lead approaching the last. She didn’t do much wrong in fairness (a slicker jump at the last might have made the difference) and she looks to have been found a decent opportunity.
Of the opposition, the penalised Timetoroe made all to win at Bangor, and given that the Skelton’s were responsible for the second on that occasion, I’m sure Harry will be keen not to allow her too much rope here.
Wednesday’s selection:
1:15 Hereford – Marada; 1/2 PaddyPower
