Third in a bumper (form worked out well) on his sole start in Ireland AJERO (2:00) is taken to make a winning start for Kim Bailey at Huntingdon on Wednesday. A strong-travelling five-year-old, he is a half-brother to the very smart Charbel, and this tight track and decent ground should play to his strengths.
At Bangor-on-Dee, Olly Murphy’s VOCALISER (5:00) can follow up his course-and-distance success from last month, off a 4lbs higher mark. The eight-year-old was having his first start for the Murphy stable on that occasion and had the race sewn up a long way out, before idling late on (form franked at the weekend). There should be more to come and he wouldn’t mind any rain in North Wales.
