The six-year-old remains lightly-raced and travelled well before scoring by a comfortable 3 lengths. Although the runner-up re-opposes on better terms, the selection is fancied to confirm the form, with conditions in his favour. Good ground over an intermediate trip is what the Mahler chestnut is after, so conditions once again look ideal at the Borders track, and he can defy a 6lbs rise.
