Paul Ferguson has one selection for us on Wednesday; Braid Blue in the Wexford 15:00. Compare odds and bet.
Off the track for 285 days (has been declared a non-runner on a couple of occasions during the past few weeks) Braid Blue (3:00) can make a winning debut over fences at Wexford on Wednesday.
Gordon Elliott’s seven-year-old rattled up four wins on the spin over hurdles last summer, before he ran a sound race in defeat at Cheltenham in October. He was attempting to concede 8lbs to the winner Champagne Well (twice finished runner-up in Grade 2s on his next two starts) on that occasion, and he will appreciate the good ground. Although he might want a shade further to been at his best, he is fancied to make the best possible start.
Domestically, Pagero is of interest on his hat-trick bid at Newton Abbot, but I did think that Jonjo O’Neill’s returning five-year-old would be a shade bigger than the opening 2-1 on Tuesday afternoon.
Wednesday’s selection:
3:00 Wexford – Braid Blue; 11/4 BetVictor
