Paul Ferguson has one selection for us on Friday; Felix Desjy in the Navan 8.15. Compare odds and bet.
The concluding race from Navan on Friday evening is interesting, with Grade 1 novice hurdle winner Felix Desjy (8:15) returning from a 430-day lay-off.
The seven-year-old finished fifth in the Supreme, before beating Aramon (winner of last week’s Grimes Hurdle) in the Top Novices’ Hurdle at Aintree, and hasn’t been seen since the 2019 Punchestown Festival. This could well be a stepping-stone to Galway, but he is a free-going sort, so I would imagine that he would have no problem in getting himself fit at home, and he is a class above the opposition. Jamie Codd takes the ride, and he is fancied to score, despite the fact that Gordon Elliott hasn’t really got going yet.
Of the opposition – and at likely much bigger odds – I would be interested to see how Cosmo’s Moon runs for Noel Meade. Another keen-going horse, a big field on the Flat might suit him, and I can see him travelling strongly into the race.
Friday’s selection:
