The re-routed Brigadier Gerard Stakes takes place at Haydock on Sunday and the track could suit TELECASTER (2:40) whose form tailed off after a blistering start to last season.
Following his impressive maiden success, he won the Dante at York, after which he struggled in the Derby and in the Eclipse. He gave the impression last year that he might improve with time and flat tracks clearly suit. This could be the time to catch him and although this looks a good renewal, he is worth backing each-way, in the hope that he does indeed take that big step forward at four.
