Despite going up 10lbs for his win at Haydock, Bold Plan (2:25) remains progressive and is the one to side with in the valuable handicap hurdle at Ascot on Saturday.
Evan Williams’ lightly-raced six-year-old didn’t enjoy the clearest of runs last time, so was probably value for more than the official margin, and the softer ground shouldn’t be a concern. With the dead eight going to post, he can be backed each-way, with bet365 offering 9-2 at the time of writing.
