Paul Ferguson has two selections for us on Sunday; Cheddleton in the 13:25 and Elvis Mail 13:55 both at Kelso. Compare odds and bet.
Cheddleton (1:25) impressed with the way he shed his maiden tag at Bangor last month and Jennie Candlish’s five-year-old can defy the penalty at Kelso on Sunday.
A good-looking and well-bred son of Shirocco, the Haydock bumper winner had earlier shaped with promise at Wetherby and he looks a smart sort, who won’t mind the likely bad ground.
Half-an-hour later Elvis Mail (1:55) can win for a third time at the track, following a slightly disappointing effort at Newbury last time. He had earlier made a really pleasing return when winning at Ayr and he clearly relishes this course. Dropped 2lbs, Nick Alexander’s six-year-old remains a promising sort and this looks a winnable prize.
Sunday’s selections:
1:25 Kelso – Cheddleton; 5/4 Paddy Power
1:55 Kelso – Elvis Mail; 9/4 BetVictor
