Unbeaten in an Irish Point, a bumper and a novice hurdle OVERTHETOP (2:25) is taken to land the Grade 2 Winter Novices’ Hurdle at Sandown.
The form of his Warwick bumper reads well and although he beat little of note at Carlisle, he was visually impressive. Clearly more is required here, but he looks open to any amount of improvement and conditions look ideal.
Cheltenham third Happygolucky certainly sets the standard, but Olly Murphy’s charge looks worth chancing at 7/2.
