Paul Ferguson has one selection for us on Monday; Ebony Jewel in the Ayr 13:35. Compare odds and bet.
There’s a good novices’ hurdle at Ayr on Monday, in which EBONY JEWEL (13:35) is fancied to score for Nick and Lucy Alexander.
A bumper winner on debut for the stable (runner-up to a smart sort the time before at Haydock) he went on to finish sixth at Aintree, having raced freely throughout. The softer the ground the better for him and if he can learn to relax a little, he could well develop into a smart novice in the north.
Despite there being some nice types in opposition, the five-year-old is taken to make a winning debut.
I’m also interested in Big Nasty now he goes chasing, although it would have been more encouraging to see him shape better for longer on his reappearance.
Monday’s selection:
13 :35 Ayr – Ebony Jewel; 7/4 Paddy Power
