Paul Ferguson has two selections for us on Monday; Maire Banrigh in the 14:50 and Shantou Express 16:50 both at Stratford. Compare odds and bet.
Off since winning a handicap hurdle at Carlisle almost a year ago MAIRE BANRIGH (2:50) can make a successful chasing debut at Stratford on Monday.
Dan Skelton’s seven-year-old was an expensive purchase at the 2017 Cheltenham Festival Sale, following an easy Points success at Lingstown when trained by Colin Bowe. Despite being 10lbs higher than when last seen, she remains a potentially smart mare and ahead of her mark.
The concluding bumper looks a decent event, with Leroy Brown looking useful when winning at Worcester. However, SHANTOU EXPRESS (4:50) shaped with bags of promise at Ludlow back in March, in a race that worked out well subsequently.
The winner ran well at Cheltenham next time, whilst the third won three bumpers for Karl Thornton. Given the weight he receives, the four-year-old can score for Kim Bailey.
Monday’s selections:
2:50 Stratford – Maire Banrigh; 8/11 betway
4:50 Stratford – Shantou Express; 11/8 Unibet
