Paul Ferguson has two selections for us on Friday; Glorious Lady in the Bangor 13:50 and Beyond The Clouds 18:55 at Hamilton. Compare odds and bet.
Hamilton plays host to a decent middle-distance handicap on Friday evening – the Ladbrokes Lanark Silver Bell Handicap – in which former smart hurdler Beyond The Clouds (6:55) is of interest for Kevin Ryan.
Twice a winner in bumpers and three times successful as a novice hurdler, the six-year-old returned from injury this summer, running three times on the level. He caused a bit of a shock when winning a novice event at Ripon earlier this month and has been handed a reasonable looking handicap mark. A non-runner due to the ground at Newmarket last week, the chestnut will appreciate the easier ground here and looks capable of going well, in what looks a competitive affair.
Leading northern National Hunt jockey Brian Hughes rode Beyond The Clouds in all seven runs under the winter code, and he can land the opener at Bangor-on-Dee this afternoon, aboard the Keith Dalgleish-trained Glorious Lady (1:50).
A former winning Irish Pointer, we haven’t seen the daughter of Fame And Glory since she won a Musselburgh bumper back in November of last year, but if she is fully tuned up for this return, she looks capable of landing this mares’ maiden hurdle.
Friday’s selections:
1:50 Bangor-on-Dee – Glorious Lady; 5/2 bet365
6:55 Hamilton – Beyond The Clouds; 7/1 betvictor
