Paul Ferguson has two selections from Ascot; Summer Romance 1.50 and Enable 3.40 along with Derevo in the Newcastle 4.30. Compare odds and bet.
John Gosden’s brilliant mare Enable (3:40) is fancied to land the King George VI And Queen Elizabeth Qipco Stakes for a second time at Ascot on Saturday.
The daughter of Nathaniel won this as a three-year-old and has subsequently, of course, won the past two renewals of the Arc. The step back up in trip will suit and she can win her ninth Group 1.
Earlier on the card, the exciting Summer Romance (1:50) can maintain her unbeaten record in the opening contest, the Prince Margaret Stakes.
Impressive on debut at Yarmouth, the Kingman filly drew right away from her rivals when winning at Listed level last time, and this looks the ideal next rung on the ladder.
Up at Newcastle, Derevo (4:30) can provide Enable’s owner – Prince Khalid Abdullah – with another winner, in the penultimate race on the card.
The Dansili colt made all to score over 1m2f at Pontefract last month and left the impression that there was plenty more to come, especially now he goes up in distance. Bred to appreciate this 1m4f trip, he can make the most of the three-year-old allowance.
Saturday’s selections:
1:50 Ascot – Summer Romance; 4/5 Ladbrokes
3:40 Ascot -Enable; 8/13 Unibet
4:30 Newcastle – Derevo; 5/6 BetVictor
