Epsom Oaks entry Dorah looks capable of winning a race of this nature before long, but Fanny Logan (3:20) was unlucky not to make a winning debut at Yarmouth last October and is favoured in Wetherby’s fillies’ novice stakes on Sunday.
The Sea The Stars filly strode out really well on debut and only went down by a neck, with the winner going on to win a handicap off 84, albeit beating only one. The third, Maqsad, has given the form a more solid boost by winning a maiden at the Craven meeting and now looks to be Epsom bound. The step up to 1m2f really ought to suit the day’s sole selection, who can take this under Robert Havlin.
