Paul Ferguson has one selection for us on Sunday; Espoir de Teillee in the Exeter 15:15. Compare odds and bet.
Although his fitness must be taken on trust, it is nice to see Espoir de Teillee (3:15) returning from a lengthy lay-off at Exeter on Sunday.
Not seen since winning a novice hurdle by 16 lengths at Catterick in November 2017, he has long been a well-regarded horse and looked a future star when falling in his Point-to-Point. He would have beaten the Paul Nicholls-trained Secret Investor on that occasion and an opening mark of 135 might just underestimate Tom George’s lightly-raced seven-year-old. His bumper defeat of the useful Hear No Evil also reads pretty well and whilst connections probably already have one eye on a novice chasing campaign in the autumn, he could well be up to running a big race here, despite shouldering top-weight.
Sunday’s selection:
3:15 Exeter – Espoir de Teillee; 10/1 Paddy Power
