A winner over course-and-distance on his debut over Christmas, SIR EREC (1:15) can follow up in Sunday’s Grade 1 Spring Juvenile Hurdle.
He only had a neck to spare over the re-opposing Tiger Tap Tap on debut and there probably won’t be much between them again here, but the winner was lightly-raced on the Flat and remains open to plenty of improvement.
Later on the card LA BAGUE AU ROI (3:00) is fancied to make the most of the 7lbs she receives from Delta Work and win the Flogas Novice Chase for Warren Greatrex and Richards Johnson. Unbeaten in three starts over fences, her form is difficult to knock and the drop back in distance won’t be a problem. In fact, it could be ideal.
