Chepstow stages a really good card on Friday, with both the novice hurdle and novice chase particularly decent events.
The 2m7f maiden isn’t bad either, but I’m prepared to take a chance on UNWIN VC (2:10) who is likely to be available at big odds (opened up 16s with the first firm to price up on Thursday) this morning.
A dual bumper winner last season, he was well beaten on his reappearance but that was a slowly run affair and shaped with promise on his hurdling debut at Exeter recently. He appeals as the type who will improve with racing and if he can settle a little better in this bigger field, he could easily go well.
