After a satisfactory chasing debut at Navan, SHADY OPERATOR (12:15) is fancied to get off the mark at Punchestown.
A useful novice hurdler last season, he has the build of a chaser and finished third behind Chris’s Dream on debut. The runner-up won at Leopardstown over the weekend and the step up in trip ought to suit.
C’est Jersey could well be a tough opponent, but Joseph O’Brien’s five-year-old rates a nice prospect in his own right.
