It’s Peterborough Chase day at Huntingdon, where Brewin’upastorm (1:20) is fancied to make a winning debut over hurdles, for Olly Murphy and Richard Johnson.
An impressive bumper winner at Hereford in January – beat subsequent Grade 2 winner Portrush Ted that day – before showing considerable promise in fourth in a Listed event at Newbury the following month.
He looks a really exciting prospect, as does Tornado Flyer (12:55) who is also fancied to make the best possible start to life over hurdles.
Willie Mullins’ son of Flemensfirth is extremely well bred – dam is from the family of Hurricane Fly – and developed into a very smart bumper performer last term, winning at Fairyhouse in January, before finishing third in the Champion Bumper, after which he won the Grade 1 here at Punchestown.
