This afternoon’s Bobby Renton Handicap Chase sees the return of BALLYANDY (3:45) who can maintain his decent record first time out.
Twice a winner on his reappearance, the former Champion Bumper winner is just 4lbs higher than when winning the Betfair Hurdle and remains unexposed as a chaser. Admittedly, he needs to jump much more fluently but if he’s to win a nice race it’s likely to be this time of year.
Of this opposition, it will be interesting to see how Willie Boy performs on his first start for Charlie Longsdon and his first start since having a wind-op.
